Outstanding
As far as making leather with a brush and shaving soap, I'm a beginner, however my first try using this brush was a success, resulting in a great amount of firm leather and smooth, comfortable, and irritation free shave. This brush absorbs and holds warmth and water really well, without excessive dripping, as opposed to a synthetic brush of the same size. The bristles are pleasantly firm and help to massage the leather into the beard with great efficiency. On the second pass, the brush is still warm, performing just as well as on the first pass. For the price, this is an outstanding value brush that performs excellent. Also, when I first opened the package, there was a hint of natural odor. A quick leather up with shaving cream and rinse eliminated most of it. Now that the brush has dried from the first use, I can hardly notice it any more. The fact that it is hand made in Britain is amazing to me, considering the great price. Definitely a high quality item for years of great shaves! I'm grateful for all the reviews that helped me make the choice to buy this brush and add my recommendation to theirs!

This brush is great!!! This is a quality shave brush. The hairs used for this brush are really good quality. They are soft and perfect for face lathering. Good amount of backbone. It is true to the dimensions that the website says. Love the fact that it's made in england!! And the clubman logo on the handle is Awsome. I look forward to every time I use this brush. I would say this is the best beginner brush. I am very happy with this purchase and this brush will easily last me years of service. Thanks clubman!!

Pretty much what it says on the tin.
This is the first shave brush I've ever bought, and from a first time perspective its pretty good, I love the feeling of buffing those soft hairs across my whiskers, the only irk I have is that every time I use it I seem to lose a couple hairs from the brush... Makes me wonder how long it'll last, or maybe it just has a break in period? Also some of you might be wondering the point of a shave brush when you could just squirt some foam quick n' easy outta a can, but the brush really helps to stand your whiskers up and I find it actually does lead to a closer, smoother shave. I pair it with the Col. Conk shave soap, leaves my mug feelin' cleeeeean and freshhhh!
